Source:Linder, B. In "Meeker Avenue", New York Division Bulletin, Electric Railroaders' Association, Vol. 23, No. 6, June, 1980, 4-6.
The Meeker Avenue trolley started its' life as a horse car in 1861 which ran from Broadway Ferry to Calvary Cemetery. The line was electrified in 1894 and until 1905, the route changed many times in terms of terminals and actual routing. In 1924 the line was extended from Graham and Meeker Avenues to Graham and Metropolitan Avenue. In 1933 it was combined with the Marcy Avenue line to form the Meeker-Marcy Line. On April 17, 1939 the line was terminated. This line was one of the first Brooklyn trolley lines to be terminated.
