1924 Aerial of section of the 5th Avenue and Fulton Street Els in Brooklyn
In the attached map, I brought in a 1924 Aerial of Downtown Brooklyn and I georeferenced it to the current street pattern. I also added a 2008-9 subway file. Notice that the 5th Avenue El traveled north on Hudson Avenue where it joined the Myrtle Avenue El. The Fulton Street El is at the bottom of the map going north west. The Myrtle Avenue Line in 1924 did not end at Jay Street as it did from around (1944-69?) but ran west where it meet the Fulton Street Line and proceeded to the Sands Street station and across the Brooklyn Bridge. In 1924, Myrtle Avenue ran further west to Adams Street.
